Concrete manufacturing: No more failures since 8 years

After retrofitting of the chainflex® control cables, there has been no production downtimes for the last 8 to 10 years.

Uwe Kühnemann, technical director of TBF Transportbeton + Fertigteile GmbH & Co. KG: "If a machine breaks down in the concrete factory, generally the whole production is closed till the completion of the repair works. If this takes longer, e.g. due to extensive cable damages, the entire concrete must be removed from the machines before it hardens. The used components should be accordingly rugged, which was not the case with the previous cables. Since we switched to chainflex® TPE control cables CF9 and CF10, the service life has clearly risen - from maximum 1 year without failure to 8 - 10 years in the meantime."
